2-8 pack Crayola crayons
2-12 pack Crayola colored pencils
2-Glue sticks
2-Glue bottle-8 oz.
2- thin dry erase marker
1-box of tissues
3-packages of baby wipes
*these supplies will be for the entire school year
*it may be helpful to have some supplies at home as well for homework

Summer has officially begun!

Thank you parents for the thoughtful gifts, Mrs. Palencia and I are very appreciative.  We couldn't have asked for a better year!  Your children have been a joy to  teach.  I hope you have a safe, relaxing summer. A few things I told the students:
  • write in the journal that went home-1 sentence and an illustration per page.
  • use IXL...you may even start 1st grade skills 
  • count by 2's, 5's, 10's & 1-100/ add & subtract
  • learn to tie your shoes
  • pray Our Lord's Prayer, the Hail Mary and grace before meals
  • Read, read, read!
***Visit me the first week of school and l will reward a completed journal, students who can tie shoes, and 5 skills completed in both math and language arts.

what a great day!  Our field trip would not be successful without such great parents.  Mrs. Palencia amd I appreciate your support, have a great night.

Field trip tomorrow...

 -be at school at 6:45 am, bus leaves promptly at 7am
-children may wear a hat and sunscreen
-bring a sack lunch, water  and souvenir and/or snack money
-wear field trip shirt and shorts or jeans and comfortable shoes
-bring a light sweatshirt
-pick up at 5:45pm
***CHAPERONES PLEASE BRING A BACKPACK

Kindergarten mass...

many students have readings for the mass next week on Friday, June 2.  Please help your child practice over the holiday weekend.   Please check their blue folder for a reading.

Please be aware...

if you would like to chaperone:
-must have a completed background check in the office
-must have safe environment completed in the office
-volunteer form filled out and on file in the office
*****Unfortunately we can only take 1 adult per child due to field trip space limitations.

T-shirts went home today...

please check your child's backpack.  The shirts will be due May 26th with a Safari theme and include must include the school name :St . Francis De Sale please remember not to put your child's name on the shirt.  Be creative!

Hot lunch sponsored by kindergarten ...

Parents-please be aware we have hot lunch on April 26 and April 27.  We will need parent volunteers to make these days a success (9:00am-1pm).  We will also request donations in the value of $15:  drinks, chips and baked goods to be at school on April 24 or April 25. Easter party...

we would like to host an egg hunt for the class.  In order to do this, each   parent must send in 1 dozen filled eggs.  Please send them to school by Wednesday, April 12.  No nuts or peanut butter, please. 

Upcoming project...

We will be learning about Nebraska during the next week and each student will make a presentation on a topic related to the state.

Topics may include: food, animals, famous people, history, the flag, habitats, landmarks, etc.

The options are endless…

         

Requirements:

  1. Topic must relate to Nebraska
  2. Presentation must include 3-4 facts about your topic
  3.  Bring something in to show/share that relates to your presentation topic
  4.  Be able to give your presentation all by yourself.J
